While I definitely think that mLearning has its benefits, I don't think this will replace other forms of learning. There are things that we benefit from learning in small chunks that are rewarding in small accomplishments, but to go deeper and really involve yourself in learning, we need spaces that are designed for that, where learning is not limited to 5-minute chunks, short form answers, and minimal, if any, interactions with the teacher .

And what it is that they wish to learn - some learning requires a deeper dive and more involvement.
Hi Erica,
It's interesting you say that. From what I have seen with some of my own learners, they prefer the mobile aspect. Many of these learners don't have a computer and can only work with a mobile. Also a lot of my learners have come from extreme conditions in their home country, and for them 5-minute chunks of learning work well.
I think your title says it best, there is a time and a place for such learning and it comes down to what works best for both the teacher and the learner.
